CGI Federal is looking for an Information Assurance Engineer to work in our San Diego location. Duties include:
Develop certification and accreditation products for a government C4I program.
Assess and ensure compliance with security standards and requirements.
Implement NSA's Information Assurance/ National Security Information and Information Systems security and directives.
Coordinate certification and accreditation activities and prepare and submit required security documents.
Create the security documents to include the security matrix, System Security Plan (SSP), Security CONOPS, Configuration Management Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, and data flow and system component diagrams as required.
Schedule and execute security scans after capability is added to update the security posture of the system.
Report any adverse changes to the security posture of the system affecting confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Provide briefings and reports on the security posture of the system.
Responsible for assisting in the management of the Information Systems Security Program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program and Navy Instructions on Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation.
Analyze, perform, and document vulnerability attacks on classified computer systems and networks to ensure that the security controls in place provide the required protection, and where necessary, amend the security controls.
Conduct threat-based, periodic Automated Information Systems (AIS) Self-Inspections.
Coordinate threat/vulnerability assessments for classified systems.
Interface/maintain liaison with Cognizant Security Agencies for requesting information, security inspections, violations and abnormal events on AIS.
Review all computer security threat warnings received from the government.
Maintain all AIS Security Plans and configuration control of them.
Ensure all classified processing have current Authority to Operate documentation.
Perform periodic reviews of all audit reports and logs.
Ensure that all AIS security-related documentation and accreditations are current.
Ensure that Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) are in place for AIS supporting multiple Cognizant Security Agency.
Track IAVA and patch implementation on classified systems.
Oversee the movement of classified AIS equipment.
Document additional replacement components of an AIS that are identical in functionality and do not affect the security of the AIS.
Provide direction and guidance to all employees and visitors for compliance with company and U.S. Government and Foreign Governments security requirements.
Interface with customer security representatives and computer representatives.
Provide support to the Information Assurance Subsystem design and Testing through individual effort and/or direction from team Lead.
Support will span full product life cycle to include System Requirements Documents, Interface Control Documents, Software Requirements Specifications and Data Bus Interface Specifications.
Follow Information Assurance architectural development direction and trade studies for network security solutions and products such as firewalls, access controls, intrusion prevention systems, multi-level security, and cross domain solutions.
Support Systems Integration and Test (SIT), system/scenario testing, and site tests with data analysis, system regression testing, and training support
Other Duties include:
Manage calendars for multiple managers
Complete and/or assist with review of documents for format, spelling, grammatical accuracy, and completeness.
Draft routine correspondence including notes, letters, memos, etc., and compile reports and other materials.
Perform routine clerical functions such as making travel arrangements, ordering supplies, scheduling appointments, project parties, project meetings, assisting in preparing for meetings, note-taking, and greeting guests.
Prepare written communication, presentations, charts, graphs, technical reports, etc. using a variety of software including MS Office Suite and Visio.
Maintain confidential employee records and/or subject matter files as requested by the management staff.
Ensure timely submission of required reports on a daily, weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly basis.
Assist with audits, when requested.
Adhere to Federal Privacy Act Laws
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of direct related experience is required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of direct related experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
Possession of an ACTIVE Top Secret /SCI security clearance is required to begin employment; US Citizenship is required. Must already possess clearance.
Experience in Navy information assurance certification and accreditation processes including DIACAP, DoDI 8500.2, and NIST 800-53, and taken systems through Authority to Operate (ATO).
Knowledge and understanding of National Industrial Security Program and DoD Security Regulations
NAVY, DoD, or military systems experience
In-depth knowledge of the Windows and Unix operating systems.
In-depth knowledge of Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks
Familiar with virtual machines and storage.
Familiarity with emerging Military/Navy Communications systems and technologies
Experience designing, developing of subsystem architectures and systems design activities as a Systems Engineer
Experience with network security solutions and products such as firewalls, access controls, intrusion prevention systems, multi-level security, and cross domain solutions
Experience with virtual management and storage software
Capability to effectively communicate with engineers, leads, and managers
Certified Information Assurance Technician Level 2 (IAT2)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
